Teaching Personnel is delighted to be recruiting a Nursery Teaching Assistant to support a warm, welcoming nursery setting within a Primary School in the Thornton area. If you have a passion for early years education and love helping little learners thrive, we would love to hear from you!
About the Role
- Support children aged 3–4 in their learning and development
- Assist with play‑based activities that encourage communication, curiosity and independence
- Help create a safe, inclusive and stimulating environment
- Work closely with the class teacher and wider nursery staff
- Provide support with personal care routines where required
- Build positive relationships with children, staff and parents
This is a full‑time position (Mon–Fri), ideal for someone looking for consistent hours within a supportive nursery environment.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working with early years children (school, nursery, childminding or similar)
- A caring, patient and proactive approach
- Strong communication skills
- A willingness to get involved and support all areas of nursery life
- Level 2/3 childcare qualification is desirable but not essential
- A child‑only enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for one
