We are supporting a client school in Hartlepool (TS25) in their search for a caring, proactive and skilled Learning Support Assistant to join their dedicated team. Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with a range of SEND needs.
- Assist in delivering differentiated and accessible teaching across the curriculum.
- Support pupils' emotional wellbeing using trauma-informed practice, nurture and restorative approaches.
- Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils while promoting independence.
- Work effectively as part of a team and follow teacher and SEN guidance.
- Be proactive, enthusiastic and adaptable when supporting diverse learner needs.
The Ideal Candidate Will
- Hold an Enhanced Child DBS (preferred).
- Have experience supporting pupils with SEND (ASD, ADHD, SEMH, dyslexia, speech and language needs, trauma).
- Be patient, calm, resilient and able to support pupils with empathy and consistency.
- Be willing to learn and apply trauma-informed and nurture-based strategies.
- Feel confident adapting tasks, materials and expectations to suit individual learning needs.
- Be committed to inclusive, high-quality education and meaningful pupil progress.
- Work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
