We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Qualified Primary Teacher to join our specialist SEND provision, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a highly supportive and inclusive environment.
You will be responsible for delivering a creative, flexible, and differentiated curriculum tailored to meet the individual needs of pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including (but not limited to) ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and communication needs.
Responsibilities- Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons aligned with EHCP targets
- Create a safe, nurturing, and structured learning environment
- Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development
- Work closely with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, therapists, and external professionals
- Use a range of assessment strategies to track progress and adapt teaching
- Implement behaviour management strategies tailored to individual needs
- Build positive relationships with pupils, parents/carers, and colleagues
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience working within a primary setting
- Experience or strong interest in SEND education
- Knowledge of strategies for supporting pupils with additional needs
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
- A patient, adaptable, and empathetic approach
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Experience working in a SEND school or provision
- Knowledge of PECS, Makaton, or other communication tools
- Experience supporting pupils with SEMH or Autism
