Job Description

Are you passionate about child development and learning? Are you looking for experience in a school environment that brings theory to life? A vibrant and welcoming mainstream primary school in New Addington (with excellent transport links) is looking for a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their Year 3 team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates in Psychology or Criminology who are keen to make a impact whilst gaining valuable experience in the education sector. Why this role is perfect for you: You ll be working closely with young children at a pivotal stage in their development supporting emotional regulation, managing classroom behaviour, and helping children overcome barriers to learning. Your Role: Support Key Stage 2 activities and foster an engaging learning environment Assist with behaviour management in a mixed-ability Year 5 class Work 1:1 and in small groups to help pupils access the curriculum Step in across year levels when needed flexibility is key We're Looking For: Psychology or Criminology graduates (or those with similar interests) Experience working or volunteering with children (school, tutoring, childcare, etc.) A calm, empathetic, and proactive approach Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Please apply now with your CV and we ll be in touch shortly! All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
