We are looking for caring and enthusiastic qualified and unqualified Teaching Assistants to work across primary, secondary, and SEN schools throughout Rhondda Cynon Taf, Merthyr Tydfil, and Caerphilly. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone who enjoys supporting young people and wants to gain valuable experience within a school setting.

About the Role

  • Support pupils of various ages and abilities, including those with Additional Learning Needs (ALN)
  • Assist teachers with classroom activities and lesson delivery
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to help pupils build confidence and develop key learning skills
  • Encourage positive behaviour and promote an inclusive learning environment
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to meet individual pupil needs

We’re Looking for Someone Who Is:

  • Patient, caring, and enthusiastic about supporting children’s learning
  • Reliable, flexible, and adaptable to different school environments
  • Confident working with children from a range of backgrounds and age groups
  • A strong team player with good communication skills
  • A Welsh speaker (desirable but not essential)

Requirements

Teaching Personnel can support you in obtaining the following:

  • Education Workforce Council (EWC) registration
  • Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service
  • References covering the past two years
