We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Lytham, supporting KS2 pupils with challenging behaviour and ADHD. This is a mornings-only, part-time role to start ASAP.
About the Role
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with ADHD and behavioural needs
- Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils who require consistency and emotional support
- Use de-escalation strategies and behaviour-management techniques effectively
- Work collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored support
- Help create a calm, inclusive and engaging learning environment
Experience Needed
- Proven experience supporting children with challenging behaviour
- Previous TA experience in a primary school setting (KS2 preferred)
- Strong understanding of ADHD and effective support strategies
- Excellent communication and resilience
- A calm, patient, and proactive approach
