The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will support students with a variety of additional needs, including:

  • ADHD
  • Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
  • Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)
  • Sensory Processing Difficulties
  • Physical Disabilities

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Providing 1:1 support tailored to individual pupil needs
  • Supporting teaching and learning within the classroom environment
  • Assisting with small group interventions and differentiated learning activities
  • Supporting emotional regulation and implementing positive behaviour strategies
  • Encouraging independence, confidence and social development
  • Adapting learning resources and approaches to meet individual needs
  • Building positive relationships with pupils, families and staff
  • Helping create a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment
