A friendly and nurturing primary school in Nantwich is looking for a committed Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible, with the position running through to the end of the academic year. This is a fantastic opportunity to support children’s learning and development within a welcoming school community.
Responsibilities
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and accessible lessons
- Work with pupils individually or in small groups to reinforce key learning
- Provide tailored support to children with additional needs to ensure inclusion
- Assist with classroom organisation, displays, and preparation of resources
- Help maintain a positive, safe and inspiring learning environment
- Supervise pupils during transitions, break times, and school activities
- Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents
Qualifications
- Experience working with primary-aged pupils (EYFS–KS2)
- A supportive, patient, and enthusiastic approach
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to follow teacher direction and use initiative when needed
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Relevant TA qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3) are desirable but not essential
