Are you passionate about supporting secondary school students and helping them achieve their potential? One of our partner schools in Tonypandy (CF40) is seeking a committed and approachable Secondary Teaching Assistant to join their supportive educational team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one and group support for pupils across a range of subjects
- Assist teaching staff with classroom activities and learning resources
- Support students with additional learning needs, including those with special educational needs
- Help maintain a positive and focused learning environment
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers
Who are we looking for?
Ideal candidates will:
- Have experience working with secondary school-aged children (11-16)
- Be patient, empathetic, and skilled in building strong relationships with students
- Possess good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
- Be confident in supporting behaviour management strategies
Experience with children is desired, but we welcome skills from other sectors.
Essential Requirements
Teaching Personnel provide support with obtaining the following:
- Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service
- Education Workforce Council (EWC) registration
- References covering at least the previous two years of employment
