We are currently recruiting passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistants to support children with additional needs across a variety of primary and secondary schools in Chorley and Skelmersdale. This role is ideal for individuals who genuinely care about making a difference in the lives of young people and are committed to helping children thrive both academically and emotionally. You will be supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, learning difficulties, speech and language needs, and SEMH requirements.

No two days are the same, making this a highly rewarding opportunity for those who enjoy building relationships, encouraging confidence, and helping children reach their full potential.

We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates with:

Whether you've coached a football team, worked in a youth club, led sports activities, or supported young people in another capacity, the key thing we're looking for is someone who is patient, positive, resilient, and genuinely passionate about supporting children.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with additional needs.
  • Support pupils with their learning, behaviour, and social development.
  • Build positive relationships and act as a positive role model.
  • Encourage engagement, confidence, and independence.
  • Work closely with teachers to deliver classroom activities.
  • Support pupils in achieving their individual learning and developmental goals.
  • Help create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.

  • Come from a sporty, coaching, mentoring, or support background
  • Are caring, patient, and approachable
