Are you passionate about supporting children’s learning and helping them reach their full potential? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school in the DH3 area of County Durham.

About the Role

  • Work closely with teachers to support the learning and development of pupils.
  • Provide one-to-one or small group support, ensuring that all children are engaged and making progress.
  • Assist with classroom management and the preparation of learning materials.
  • Support pupils with additional needs, promoting inclusion and positive behaviour.

About You

  • Has experience working with children in an educational setting (school, nursery, or similar).
  • Holds (or is working towards) a relevant qualification such as Level 2 or Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning.
  • Is patient, positive, and committed to helping every child succeed.
  • Can work effectively as part of a team and show initiative when needed.
