Teaching Personnel are working closely with a specialist school in the Portsmouth area to recruit dedicated Teaching Assistants for both day-to-day supply and full-time roles. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils with learning needs, communication and social interaction needs, Autism, and Social & Emotional needs.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 or small-group basis
  • Assisting teachers to create individualised plans and lesson delivery
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulation
  • Helping students develop and progress with independence, confidence and social skills
  • Creating a calm, safe and engaging learning environment

Qualifications

  • Caring, patient and resilient individuals
  • A genuine interest within Special Needs and inclusive education
  • Previous experience in education, care or SEN
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude
  • Flexible day-to-day work or long-term and full-time placements; work that fits around your lifestyle; excellent hands-on experience for those looking to progress into teaching, psychology or therapy roles; ongoing support from a dedicated education agency.
