SEN Teaching Assistant

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Waterlooville.

The successful candidate will work closely with pupils who require additional support, helping them to engage with learning, develop independence and achieve their full potential in a calm, supportive environment.

Key responsibilities:

Providing targeted SEN support in the classroom and in small groups

Supporting pupils’ academic, social and emotional development

Implementing guidance from the class teacher and SENCO

Promoting positive behaviour and inclusion at all times

The ideal candidate will:

Have a genuine interest in supporting children with SEN

Be flexible, proactive and nurturing in their approach

Communicate effectively with staff and pupils

Have previous school-based experience (preferred but not essential)
