Are you passionate about becoming a teacher and making a real difference in young people’s lives? We are looking for aspiring teachers to join our fully funded teacher training programme, supported directly by the school. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are currently working with children and are ready to take the next step toward becoming a qualified teacher.

This is a full-time position working at a primary school that caters for children with SEMH. Successful candidates will follow a salaried teacher training route, gaining hands-on classroom experience while working closely with an experienced mentor. The school will fund your training, and after one year you will achieve qualified teacher status. In return for the fully funded training, candidates must commit to working at the school for a total of three years – one year completing the training programme followed by two additional years as a qualified teacher.

  • Salary: £20,000 – £22,000 (salaried training route) – after the first year you will move to main pay scale. Newly Qualified Teachers start on a salary of £32,916.

Who We Are Looking For

  • A degree in any subject
  • A genuine passion for supporting children with social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH)
  • Prior experience working in a primary school with a good understanding of the UK primary curriculum
  • Previous experience working with children
  • This role is particularly suited to individuals currently working as a:
  • Teaching Assistant (TA)
  • Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
  • Cover Supervisor or unqualified teacher
  • Pastoral Support

Visa Information

Unfortunately, we cannot offer visa sponsorship. Applicants who require a visa must have a minimum of 3 years remaining on their visa to be considered. This is to ensure you can complete the 3 years required by contract.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
