We are recruiting for a passionate and resilient Teacher to join a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school in Chorley. Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs
  • Support pupils with SEMH needs, challenging behaviour, and additional learning barriers
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and external professionals
  • Implement behaviour management strategies effectively and consistently
  • Monitor and track student progress, adapting approaches as necessary

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
  • Experience working with SEMH, SEN, or challenging behaviour (desirable but not essential)
  • Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, resilient approach
  • Ability to build positive and meaningful relationships with pupils
  • A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)
