Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a number of supportive schools in the Taunton area to recruit dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and making a meaningful difference in their day-to-day school experience.
The role:
- Supporting pupils with a range of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH
- Working on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Assisting the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
- Helping to manage behaviour and promote positive engagement
- Supporting pupils' social, emotional, and academic development
The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience working with children or young people with SEN (desirable but not essential)
- Be patient, resilient, and empathetic
- Have strong communication and teamwork skills
- Be confident in building positive relationships with pupils and staff
