The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons
- Work with pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Support students with additional learning needs (ALN)
- Encourage student engagement, confidence, and independence
- Assist with behaviour management and emotional wellbeing
- Help pupils achieve both academic and personal goals
ALN Experience Highly Desirable
We are particularly interested in candidates with experience supporting children and young people with:
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- ADHD
- Speech, Language & Communication Needs (SLCN)
- Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs
- Learning Difficulties and Disabilities
- Challenging behaviour
- Sensory needs
- Emotional regulation difficulties
Experience may come from education, care, support work, youth work, sports coaching, residential care, healthcare, or community roles.

Relevant Qualifications
While not essential for every role, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- Level 2 or Level 3 Supporting Teaching & Learning
- CACHE Level 2 or Level 3
- Childcare Qualifications
- Health & Social Care Qualifications
- Psychology, Education or Childhood Studies Degrees
- Sports Coaching Qualifications
- Youth Work Qualifications
- Teaching Assistant Qualifications
- Relevant safeguarding training
