ALN Teaching Assistant – Swansea & Carmarthen

£92.63 per day | Flexible hours | Immediate & ongoing opportunities

Teaching Personnel are seeking experienced, caring and committed ALN Teaching Assistants to support pupils across secondary schools and specialist ALN provisions in the Swansea and Carmarthen areas.

If you are passionate about helping young people with Additional Learning Needs to achieve their full potential, this is a fantastic opportunity to work flexibly while gaining valuable experience and professional development.

You will support pupils with a wide range of ALN needs, including:

  • Dyslexia & Dyscalculia

Support may be delivered 1:1 or in small groups, helping pupils engage in learning, regulate emotions and access tailored interventions. Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting pupils’ learning and classroom engagement
  • Helping pupils with emotional regulation and social development
  • Adapting resources, language and strategies to individual needs
  • Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and support staff

Requirements:

  • Enhanced Child-Only DBS (on the Update Service or willing to apply)
  • Previous experience supporting pupils with ALN (preferred)
