Requirements (Essential for Wales)

To be considered, you must:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Be registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) or willing to register
  • Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply)
  • Have experience working with secondary-aged students
  • Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills
Desirable Experience
  • Previous experience teaching in UK secondary schools
  • Ability to teach your specialist subject to GCSE level (or higher)
  • Experience supporting a range of abilities, including SEN and ALN pupils
  • Confident delivering engaging lessons and adapting to different school environments
  • Strong understanding of the Welsh curriculum (desired but not essential)
