We are seeking passionate and dedicated 1:1 Tutors to support pupils in the Swadlincote area within home and school settings. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys making a real difference to young people who may need additional support due to SEN/SEND needs, gaps in learning, anxiety, or school disengagement.
What you’ll be doing:
- Deliver tailored 1:1 tuition sessions
- Support pupils with their academic, emotional, and social development
- Adapt learning to individual needs and abilities
- Build strong, positive relationships with learners and families
- Track progress and support learning outcomes
- Create a safe, engaging, and supportive environment
What we’re looking for:
- Minimum 1 year UK tutoring or teaching experience
- Experience working with children or young people
- Strong communication and behaviour management skills
- Patient, flexible, and reliable approach
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Driving licence preferred
Desirable:
- SEN/SEND experience (ASD, ADHD, SEMH, anxiety)
- QTS / TA / tutoring background
- Experience in English or Maths support
