A variety of specialist settings in Preston are looking for reliable, caring, and adaptable SEN Teaching Assistants to provide ad-hoc support on a flexible basis. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking flexible work while making a meaningful impact supporting children and young people with additional needs in a specialist educational setting. We also can offer full-time roles for the right individuals with a possibility of a permanent contract.
The Role
- Providing classroom support across different age groups and needs
- Working one-to-one and in small groups with pupils with SEND
- Supporting pupils with learning, communication, and emotional regulation
- Assisting teachers in creating a positive and engaging learning environment
- Adapting to different classroom settings and daily requirements
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience working with SEN children or vulnerable young people is desirable
- Flexible, dependable, and able to adapt quickly
- Calm, patient, and supportive nature
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Backgrounds in education, care, youth work, or support work welcomed
