Are you a passionate and experienced EYFS Teaching Assistant looking for your next opportunity? Teaching Personnel is currently seeking a dedicated Level 3 EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Sunderland from September. This is a full-time, long-term position, offering the opportunity to become an integral part of a supportive Early Years team.

The Role

As a Level 3 EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to support children's learning and development within the Early Years setting. The successful candidate will be confident in delivering targeted support and interventions, helping pupils build strong foundations for future learning.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting teaching and learning across the EYFS classroom.
  • Delivering engaging phonics interventions to small groups of pupils.
  • Assisting with the planning and preparation of learning activities.
  • Supporting pupils' social, emotional, and educational development.
  • Creating a positive, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to teaching staff.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • A Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning, Childcare, or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working within an EYFS setting.
  • Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework.
  • Experience delivering or supporting phonics interventions.
  • Confidence leading small group sessions independently.
  • A patient, proactive, and enthusiastic approach to supporting young learners.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
