Teaching Personnel is working closely with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Urmston to recruit a Year 1 SEN Teaching Assistant for a full-time position starting in September. This rewarding role involves supporting pupils with additional needs on a one-to-one and small group basis, helping them access learning, build confidence, and reach their full potential. The Role
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEN
- Assist with the delivery of tailored learning activities and interventions
- Support the implementation of individual learning targets and strategies
- Encourage pupil engagement, independence, and social development
- Work closely with the Class Teacher, SENCO, and wider support staff
- Help create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment
About You
- Have experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs
- Hold GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- Be patient, caring, and adaptable in their approach
- Have strong communication and teamwork skills
- Be passionate about supporting children's learning and wellbeing
- Hold a Level 2 Safeguarding qualification or be willing to complete training
