Teaching Personnel is working closely with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Urmston to recruit a Year 1 SEN Teaching Assistant for a full-time position starting in September. The Role

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEN
  • Assist with the delivery of tailored learning activities and interventions
  • Support the implementation of individual learning targets and strategies
  • Encourage pupil engagement, independence, and social development
  • Work closely with the Class Teacher, SENCO, and wider support staff
  • Help create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment

About You

  • Have experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs
  • Hold GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Be patient, caring, and adaptable in their approach
  • Have strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Be passionate about supporting children's learning and wellbeing
  • Hold a Level 2 Safeguarding qualification or be willing to complete training
