The Opportunity
As the Year 1 Teacher, you'll play a vital role in guiding pupils through their transition into Key Stage 1, delivering engaging lessons that foster confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning.
Your Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons aligned with the Year 1 curriculum
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing effective feedback to support development
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment where every child can succeed
- Differentiating learning to meet the needs of all pupils
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and wider school staff
- Contribute to school events, initiatives, and professional development opportunities
What We're Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Previous experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally Year 1
- Strong classroom management and behaviour management skills
- Ability to plan and deliver lessons that engage learners of all abilities
- Confidence using technology to enhance learning
- Excellent communication skills and a positive, team-oriented approach
