The Role

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. Working closely with teachers and support staff, you will help deliver engaging lessons, provide targeted interventions, and support pupils in achieving their educational goals. Key Responsibilities

  • Support teachers in planning and delivering engaging and effective lessons

  • Support pupils' social, emotional, and academic development
  • Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback where appropriate
  • Prepare classroom resources and assist with day-to-day learning activities
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, carers, and colleagues

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience working as an HLTA, Teaching Assistant, or in a similar educational support role
  • A positive, proactive, and nurturing approach to supporting children
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confidence supporting learners across a range of ages and abilities
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required
  • HLTA qualification or relevant experience is desirable
  • A commitment to helping every child succeed
