Teaching personnel are currently looking for a DT Teacher to work in a respected and welcoming Secondary School in the Trafford area. This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified teacher or an experienced teacher to join their dynamic and supportive department to excel their teaching career further. It is a full time long term role looking to start in September 2026. The school has great public transport links with access to buses and trams and also to staff car parks.

The salary for this role is between £150-£200 per day dependent on experience.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to ensure classroom management
  • Passionate about teaching science to encourage and inspire students’ academic abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality Design & Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 desirable).
  • Assess, monitor and support student progress, providing effective feedback to maximise achievement.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes high standards of behaviour and engagement.
  • Ensure the safe use of tools, equipment and materials, adhering to all health and safety requirements.
  • Contribute to the development of the Design & Technology curriculum and departmental resources.
  • Support the wider life of the school through enrichment activities, events and collaborative working with colleagues.
  • Uphold the school's safeguarding policies and promote the wellbeing of all students.
