Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with various secondary schools in south Manchester to recruit a qualified Art Teacher for a secondary school in Trafford, South Manchester starting in September 2026 until Christmas with the opportunity to extend in January. This is an excellent opportunity for a creative and enthusiastic Art Teacher to join a supportive school environment and deliver engaging lessons that inspire creativity, confidence, and artistic skills across the curriculum.
Location: Trafford, Greater Manchester (or willing to travel)
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: September – December 2026, with the potential to extend in January
Salary: Matched to your level on the Teacher Pay Scale for roles including planning and marking
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging Art lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Teach art to KS3 and KS4
- Monitor, assess, and provide feedback on student progress
- Maintain an inclusive, creative, and well-managed classroom environment
- Support departmental planning where required
- Promote positive behaviour and a passion for the arts
The Ideal Candidate:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or is an ECT
- Is a qualified Art Teacher
- Has experience teaching Art at secondary level (ECTs also encouraged to apply)
- Demonstrates strong classroom management and organisational skills
- Is based in Trafford or happy to travel
- Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
