Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver personalised and creative lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils.
- Differentiating learning to support a range of abilities and communication needs.
- Create safe, structured and positive learning environments.
- Work closely with support staff, therapists and families to achieve the best outcomes for pupils.
- Monitor and assess progress and adapt teaching strategies where required.
- Support pupils' social, emotional and personal development alongside their academic learning.
- Promote independence, confidence and self-esteem.
Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience working within SEN, SEMH or specialist educational settings.
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
- A flexible and collaborative approach.
- The ability to build meaningful relationships with pupils and colleagues.
