- We are recruiting on behalf of a specialist school in the
- ST3 area for an enthusiastic and experienced
Vocational Instructor to join their dedicated team.
This is an excellent opportunity to inspire and support young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) by delivering engaging, practical vocational learning that helps develop life skills, employability, and independence.
- Deliver practical, hands‑on vocational lessons in your area of expertise (e. g. Construction, Motor Vehicle, Horticulture, Catering, Engineering, or similar).
- Adapt learning to meet the individual needs and abilities of students.
- Create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.
- Support students in developing confidence, independence, and workplace skills.
- Monitor student progress and contribute to individual learning plans.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and the wider school team.
- Promote positive behaviour and encourage student achievement.
- Experience delivering vocational training, practical instruction, or industry‑based learning.
- Relevant vocational qualifications or substantial industry experience.
- Experience working with young people or individuals with SEN is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
- Patient, adaptable, and passionate about helping young people succeed.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is desirable (or willingness to obtain one).
