A welcoming and supportive primary school near Stoke-on-Trent is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Key Stage 1 Teacher to join their team after the May half-term, with the position running through to the Christmas break. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on full classroom responsibilities within a KS1 setting, delivering engaging and high-quality teaching during an important stage in pupils’ development.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports all learners, encouraging both academic progress and personal growth.   • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the KS1 National Curriculum
  • Assess, track, and report on pupil progress, adapting teaching to meet individual needs

  • Deliver effective phonics teaching in line with school schemes
  • Mark and provide constructive feedback in accordance with school policies

  • Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and promote pupil wellbeing at all times

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Recent experience teaching within Key Stage 1
  • Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and phonics delivery
  • A proactive, flexible, and positive attitude
  • Experience preparing pupils for KS1 assessments (including SATs where applicable)
  • Experience working within a collaborative school environment
  • Commitment to contributing to wider school activities
