Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with an outstanding specialist education provider in Stockport to recruit a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join their experienced and supportive team.

The Role
As a Learning Support Worker, you will play a vital role in helping students access education, develop life skills, and build confidence in a safe and nurturing environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing 1:1 and small-group support
- Supporting students with communication, personal development, and learning activities
- Assisting with sensory regulation and emotional wellbeing
- Promoting independence and life skills development
- Supporting students with personal care where required
- Working alongside teachers, therapists, and wider support staff
- Encouraging positive engagement and participation in learning
- Creating a calm, structured, and supportive learning environment
What We're Looking For
We would love to hear from candidates who have:
- Experience within education, healthcare, residential care, support work, or youth work
- Experience working with children or young people with additional needs
- An understanding of autism, learning disabilities, sensory needs, or complex needs
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A positive, proactive, and caring approach
- The ability to remain calm and adaptable in a dynamic environment
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one
