Functional Skills Tutor to provide personalised 1:1 tuition for learners in the Stockport (SK17) area.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced tutor, teacher, or education professional who is passionate about helping learners develop their

Functional Skills in English and/or Maths , build confidence, and achieve their educational goals.

  • Deliver engaging and personalised 1:1 Functional Skills tuition.
  • Plan and adapt lessons to meet each learner's individual needs and ability.
  • Support learners in developing Functional Skills in English and/or Maths.
  • Prepare learners for Functional Skills assessments where appropriate.
  • Monitor progress and provide regular feedback.
  • Create a positive, supportive, and motivating learning environment.
  • Experience teaching or tutoring Functional Skills English and/or Maths.
  • Experience delivering 1:1 tuition or teaching in a school, college, or alternative education setting.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or a relevant teaching/tutoring qualification is desirable but not essential for candidates with suitable experience.
  • Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Ability to provide professional references.
