The Role
You’ll be working across SEMH schools, PRUs, and alternative provisions supporting pupils who may:
- Experience social, emotional and mental health needs
- Display challenging behaviour linked to unmet needs or trauma
- Have faced disrupted education or barriers to learning
- Require structured, consistent support to re-engage
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering engaging, adapted lessons tailored to individual needs
- Building strong, trusting relationships to support engagement
- Using restorative, trauma-informed and de-escalation strategies
- Creating a calm, consistent, and structured learning environment
- Supporting EHCPs and personalised learning plans
- Working collaboratively with pastoral teams, behaviour mentors, and SEN specialists
