Supply Teaching Assistant

Location: Stanley and surrounding areas

Start: Ongoing

Hours: Full-time and Part-time opportunities available

Minimum availability: 2 days per week

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a number of primary schools in and around the Stanley area and are seeking to recruit qualified Supply Teaching Assistants to support pupils across Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

This role offers excellent flexibility, with opportunities for full-time supply for adaptable candidates, alongside part-time work to suit individual availability. Access to your own vehicle is desirable to support travel between a range of local schools.

  • Support pupils’ learning on a 1:1, small group or whole-class basis
  • Provide support for pupils with SEN or additional needs where required
  • Help maintain a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Support positive behaviour management in line with school policies
  • Adapt confidently to different schools, year groups and classroom settings

Requirements:

  • A recognised Teaching Assistant qualification (essential)
  • Previous experience working with children in a school or education setting
  • Confidence supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 and/or KS2
  • Availability to work a minimum of 2 days per week
  • Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
