- These schools support pupils with
- Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs , as well as those with
Autism (ASC), ADHD, attachment difficulties, trauma-related needs and challenging behaviour .
You'll play a vital role in helping pupils overcome barriers to learning, build confidence and achieve their full potential.
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
- Create a safe, structured and nurturing classroom environment.
- Support pupils with emotional regulation, behaviour and personal development.
- Build strong, positive relationships that promote trust and engagement.
- Work closely with Teaching Assistants, pastoral teams, therapists and parents to provide holistic support.
- Monitor pupil progress and implement strategies to improve outcomes.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience working with pupils with SEMH, SEND or challenging behaviour is desirable.
- Excellent behaviour management and communication skills.
- A patient, empathetic and resilient approach.
- A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable young people.
