As a Functional Skills Tutor, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and personalised 1:1 Functional Skills tuition.
  • Support learners in English and/or Maths at Entry Level to Level 2.
  • Plan lessons tailored to individual learning needs and goals.
  • Build learners' confidence and motivation.
  • Monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies to maximise achievement.

Qualifications

  • Experience teaching or tutoring Functional Skills English and/or Maths
  • A strong understanding of the Functional Skills curriculum
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A patient, encouraging, and adaptable approach
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Right to work in the UK
