This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, experienced Cover Supervisors, or individuals with experience working with young people who are looking to gain valuable classroom experience.
The role is also well suited to those who have stepped away from full-time teaching but still enjoy supporting students in their learning.
Responsibilities
- Supervise classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff.
- Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials, ensuring students remain focused and engaged.
- Maintain a positive, calm, and productive classroom environment.
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
- Support students with their learning and encourage positive participation.
- Build positive working relationships with students and staff.
- Undertake lunchtime supervision duties as part of the role.
- Contribute to the smooth day‑to‑day running of the school.
Qualifications
- A degree or relevant educational background is preferred.
- Experience working with secondary‑aged students is desirable.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Confident leading a classroom and working independently.
- A positive, proactive, and adaptable approach.
- Passionate about supporting young people to achieve their potential.
