Year 1 Teacher for a part-time position (Mondays and Tuesdays) starting in
November 2026 .

As the Year 1 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and creative lessons across two days each week, ensuring pupils continue to make excellent progress in their transition from the Early Years Foundation Stage into Key Stage 1.
Key responsibilities include
- Planning and delivering high-quality lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
- Delivering effective, systematic phonics sessions that develop confident, fluent readers.
- Creating an inclusive classroom where every child feels motivated and supported.
- Monitoring pupil progress and adapting teaching to meet individual learning needs.
- Working closely with teaching assistants, senior leaders and parents to support pupil development.
- Maintaining high expectations for behaviour, learning and achievement.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally Year 1.
- Strong knowledge and practical experience of delivering phonics, including supporting pupils at different stages of early reading development.
- A creative, enthusiastic and nurturing approach to teaching.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- A commitment to achieving the very best outcomes for every child.
