We are working with a Secondary School in St Helens, to support in recruiting a full-time Learning Support Assistant. Role Overview
- Provide 1-1 and small-group support to students with additional learning needs (SEND, SEMH or EAL).
- Work closely with teaching staff and SENCO to implement and execute personalised learning plans for students.
- Help support and create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Support students both academically and emotionally to ensure they reach their full potential.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with children or young people (ideally in a school setting).
- A patient, caring, and proactive attitude.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- A DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
- Teaching qualifications are not required—this is a great opportunity for individuals looking to start or further a career in education.
