As an ADHD Support Assistant, you’ll work closely with class teachers, the SENCO and external professionals to provide tailored support for pupils with ADHD.
Responsibilities
- Delivering one-to-one and small group support to pupils with ADHD.
- Implementing personalised strategies identified within EHCPs and individual support plans.
- Helping pupils remain engaged, focused and confident throughout the school day.
- Supporting emotional regulation and developing positive behaviour strategies.
- Encouraging independence, resilience and positive social interactions.
- Monitoring progress and providing meaningful feedback to teachers and parents.
- Working collaboratively to ensure every child receives consistent, high-quality support.

We're seeking someone who brings enthusiasm, empathy and a genuine commitment to inclusive education.
Qualifications
- Experience supporting children or young people with ADHD, autism or other additional learning needs.
- A good understanding of neurodiversity and inclusive classroom practice.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- A calm, patient and resilient approach to supporting behaviour.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to adapt to pupils' individual needs.
A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant SEN training is desirable but not essential. Most importantly, we're looking for someone who is passionate about helping every child succeed.
