Who We're Looking For
We want candidates with experience or transferable skills in communication and support, including:
- Speech & Language Support Assistants / SEN TAs
- Experience supporting pupils with SLCN, ASD or SEMH needs
- Psychology or Speech & Language graduates
- Youth Workers with strong communication and mentoring skills
- Sports Coaches (excellent for engagement and confidence building)
Your Role Will Include
- Supporting pupils with speech, language and communication difficulties
- Delivering targeted speech and language interventions (guided by SENCOs or therapists)
- Working 1:1 and in small groups to build communication skills
- Using visual aids, structured communication strategies and engagement techniques
- Collaborating with teachers, SEN staff and external therapists
Requirements
- Experience working with children or young people
- Strong communication, patience and interpersonal skills
- Genuine interest in speech & language or SEN support
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
