We are seeking a caring, committed, and enthusiastic Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join our team from September 2026. You will play a vital role in supporting pupils with additional needs, helping them to access learning, develop independence, and thrive both academically and socially.
Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEN, including EHCP needs
- Support pupils with learning, communication, emotional regulation, and behaviour
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to implement support strategies
- Assist with adapting learning activities and resources
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
- Support pupils with personal care where required
- Monitor and record progress, contributing to reviews and meetings
Qualifications
- Has experience working with children with SEN (school or relevant settings desirable)
- Is patient, empathetic, and resilient
- Has strong communication and teamwork skills
- Is committed to safeguarding and promoting children’s wellbeing
- Holds GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (or is willing to work towards them)
