Teaching Personnel is recruiting SEN Teachers, Teaching Assistants, and Support Assistants to work across a range of specialist SEN and SEMH schools throughout Southampton and Hampshire. You will be supporting children and young people with a variety of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and complex needs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support
  • Assist with learning activities and emotional regulation
  • Help create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
  • Support behaviour management strategies
  • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and wider school staff
  • Encourage independence, confidence, and engagement

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN or SEMH
  • QTS required for teaching roles
  • Calm, empathetic, and adaptable approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
