Role & Responsibilities

  • Support pupils 1:1 and in small groups to access learning
  • Assist with literacy, numeracy and communication activities
  • Encourage engagement, independence and positive behaviour
  • Provide personal care and mobility support where required
  • Help create a safe, stimulating classroom environment
  • Work closely with teachers and therapists to meet individual needs

Working Hours & Pay

  • Hours: 8.40am to 4.30pm
  • Pay: £14.25 per hour

  • Minimum 6 months childcare experience (essential)
  • Experience supporting children with SEN highly desirable
  • Patient, adaptable and committed approach

This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils with complex learning, physical and behavioural needs, helping them build confidence, independence and life skills in a caring and inclusive environment. All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date. Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We undertake safeguarding checks on all workers in accordance with DfE statutory guidance ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ this may also include an online search as part of our due diligence on shortlisted applicants.
