Are you passionate about supporting young people and making a positive difference in education? We are currently recruiting Classroom Support Workers to work on a day-to-day supply basis in SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) schools across Skelmersdale. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with experience in education, care, support work, youth work, or similar backgrounds who are looking for flexible work.
The Role:
- Providing 1:1 and classroom support for pupils with SEMH needs
- Supporting students to engage in learning and classroom activities
- Managing challenging behaviour using positive behaviour strategies
- Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils
- Working closely with teaching staff to create a safe and supportive learning environment
- Encouraging emotional regulation, confidence, and independence
What We're Looking For:
- Experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable adults
- A calm, resilient, and patient approach
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Confidence managing challenging behaviour
- Experience within SEN, SEMH, care, support work, youth work, or similar settings is desirable
