Are you passionate about supporting young people and making a positive difference in education? We are currently recruiting Classroom Support Workers to work on a day-to-day supply basis in SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) schools across Skelmersdale. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with experience in education, care, support work, youth work, or similar backgrounds who are looking for flexible work.

The Role:

  • Providing 1:1 and classroom support for pupils with SEMH needs
  • Supporting students to engage in learning and classroom activities
  • Managing challenging behaviour using positive behaviour strategies
  • Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils
  • Working closely with teaching staff to create a safe and supportive learning environment
  • Encouraging emotional regulation, confidence, and independence

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable adults
  • A calm, resilient, and patient approach
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Confidence managing challenging behaviour
  • Experience within SEN, SEMH, care, support work, youth work, or similar settings is desirable

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
