We’re currently looking for a caring and dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) within a welcoming primary school setting in Shirley, Southampton. This role would suit someone with a calm, patient, and nurturing nature who enjoys building positive relationships and helping children feel supported, confident, and safe in school each day. Your consistent support will play a key role in helping pupils thrive both academically and emotionally.
- Providing 1:1 support for pupils with SEN
- Supporting small intervention groups when needed
- Helping to create a positive and structured learning environment
- Working closely with teachers and school staff to support pupil progress
At least two years of employment history
A caring, patient, and supportive approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A Child DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one
