SEN Teaching Assistant – Full-Time | September 2026 Start Make a Meaningful Difference Every Day Teaching Personnel is seeking a skilled and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist education setting in the Sherborne area from September 2026. This full-time opportunity is ideal for someone who already has experience supporting children and young people with additional needs and is confident stepping into the classroom from day one. About the Role As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other professionals to deliver tailored support throughout the school day. You will help create a structured, engaging, and nurturing learning environment where every pupil has the opportunity to succeed. Providing one-to-one and small-group support. Assisting with personalised learning activities. Promoting communication, independence, and social development. Encouraging positive behaviour using consistent strategies. Supporting pupils with a range of additional learning needs. Monitoring progress and contributing to pupil development. Working collaboratively with teaching staff, therapists, and families where appropriate. Helping prepare resources and maintaining an inclusive classroom environment.
