We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to work in a range of supportive primary schools across Sheffield and Barnsley, supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). This is a rewarding opportunity for qualified teachers who are passionate about inclusion and making a meaningful difference to children’s learning and development.
The Role:
- Plan and deliver tailored lessons to meet the individual needs of pupils with SEND
- Support children with a range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties
- Adapt the curriculum and teaching strategies to ensure inclusive learning
- Monitor and assess progress against EHCP targets and individual support plans
- Work closely with SENCOs, support staff, parents, and external professionals
- Create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience working with pupils with SEND in a primary setting (desirable)
- A strong understanding of inclusive practice and differentiation
- Patience, resilience, and excellent communication skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
