Are you passionate about helping children grow and succeed? And have an interest in supporting SEN students’ development and progression? We are seeking Teaching Assistants with SEN/care experience to join one of the multiple settings we have across Sheffield.
Location: Sheffield / Rotherham / Chesterfield
Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time / Flexible
Salary: Competitive Rate
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm
About the Role:
- Can support classroom teachers in planning and delivering engaging and creative lessons
- Experience within the special educational needs (SEN) sector
- Helps create a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students
- Will be able to provide 1-1 support to students where needed
- Helps maintain the high expectations for learning and behaviour that the school holds
- Will always support students in activities or interventions, building confidence and knowledge
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge and experience working with SEN students
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply for one)
- Exceptional communication and relationship management skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently while keeping a positive attitude
- Experience working with children in an education setting and has a genuine interest in child development and learning
