Teaching Personnel is looking for a passionate and creative Design Technology (DT) Teacher to join one of our innovative partner secondary schools in Sheffield. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated educator to inspire students, develop practical skills, and contribute to a thriving DT department.
About the Role
- Deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 desirable) in areas such as Product Design, Resistant Materials, Textiles, Graphics, or Engineering.
- Develop students’ practical, creative, and technical skills through hands-on projects.
- Use assessment data to monitor progress and inform teaching strategies.
- Create an inclusive classroom environment that encourages problem-solving, innovation, and collaboration.
- Contribute to curriculum planning, departmental development, and extracurricular activities.
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour, engagement, and academic achievement.
About You
- Holds QTS or QTLS (ECTs and experienced teachers welcome).
- Has strong subject knowledge across one or more areas of Design Technology.
- Can inspire students through practical, creative, and innovative teaching.
- Demonstrates excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
- Brings energy, enthusiasm, and a passion for technology and design.
